Buffalo Clayart Center is an outgrowth of the Ed Poe Pottery that started at the Tri Main Center in Buffalo, NY. In 1997 the Ed Poe Pottery became Buffalo Clayart Center.
BCC offers open studio space to adults that are interested in furthering their pottery experiences, to those who are more accomplished and everyone in between.
The philosophy of the studio is that of a safe, non-judgmental environment where all can work and learn from each other. The membership offers 24/7 access to the studio, with few limitations.
Introductory Pottery lessons are run on an "as needed" basis several times a year, with small class sizes.
The studio also prides itself on doing "outreach" projects for various organizations, at a cost-only basis, to assist them in raising funds for their objectives. Some of those organizations have been the Lafayette Presbyterian Soup Kitchen (Loaves & Fishes), VIVE Refuge Center, Joseph Bissonette Memorial and World on your Plate.
Buffalo Clayart is owned by George Schaeffer and Ed Poe. Bruce McCausland manages the daily operations.
