Raisa has been engaging with ceramic arts since 2013 when she took a class at Buffalo Clayart Studio and was hooked. The majority of her work consists of functional wheel thrown stoneware. Raisa is constantly experimenting with new techniques that bring joy and excitement to her artistic process. Her body of work exemplifies a wide range of inspiration including pop culture, politics, elements of nature, and a desire to continually learn and grow as an artist. Raisa is an elementary school teacher and seeks to spread the joy of creativity in the classroom as well.
