Carrianne Wach

Hello, my name is Carrieann. I started working with clay about 6 years ago when my husbands got me some pottery lessons for my 50th birthday and I was hooked. This lead me to find Buffalo Clayart and a huge piece of myself. Creating, anything, has always helped me process daily stresses and grief but working with clay has deepened that process for me. getting completely lost in the process of discovering where your idea & the clay's intention meet and forgetting about the clock is therapeutic. There are also life lessons learned in working with clay, learning to reinvent as you go, to find the beauty in what you did not plan and how to look at everything around you and it's possibilities to aid in creating. Buffalo Clayart is a space where your exploration is supported with people's willingness to share their knowledge, tools and references needed to expand and access to meet your schedule. I have had the privilege to to be on the work team and learn in depth about the firing process and glaze making. I even gained the confidence to move beyond making gifts for people in my life to selling pieces for the first time.
