This six-week intermediate course is ideal for those who have taken our Pottery 102: Wheel course and would like to continue to develop wheel skills in a small group, or those who have had substantial wheelthrowing experience in the past and would like a refresher.
Class Details
This six-week intermediate course is ideal for those who have taken our Pottery 102: Wheel course and would like to continue to develop wheel skills in a small group, or those who have had substantial wheelthrowing experience in the past and would like a refresher.
If you aren't able to consistently center 1-1.5lbs of clay and pull an even cylinder, please take our Pottery 102: Wheel class instead.
Taught by an experienced instructor, class size is limited to a maximum of 6 students to ensure plenty of individual attention and flexibility to adapt the curriculum to the interests and goals of the students involved.
The price includes materials and firing fees.

Jim Kalinowski
With over 25 years of pottery and teaching experience, Jim is a longstanding member of the Buffalo Clayart Center. He's been involved in most local shows and festivals, with his ceramics winning the Lewiston Art Festival.

Logan is a wheel-focused potter from Ohio who enjoys throwing generous vase forms. He’s interested in local materials and the geology behind them, and he draws inspiration from the beauty of rocks and landscapes. He loves rustic and unpredictable wood-fired surfaces. He also really, really loves mud.
