Continuing Wheel

This six-week course is designed for students who have had some experience on the wheel and understand the basics of centering clay, opening up, and pulling walls.
Class Details
Ideal for those who have taken our ‘Intro to Ceramics’ course and would like to focus on developing wheel skills in a small group, or those who have done some wheel throwing in the past and would like a refresher.
Taught by an experienced instructor, class size is limited to a maximum of 5 students to ensure plenty of individual attention and flexibility to adapt the curriculum to the interests and goals of the students involved.
The price includes materials and firing fees.

Jim Kalinowski
With over 25 years of pottery and teaching experience, Jim is a longstanding member of the Buffalo Clayart Center. He's been involved in most local shows and festivals, with his ceramics winning the Lewiston Art Festival.

Logan is a wheel-focused potter from Ohio who enjoys throwing generous vase forms. He’s interested in local materials and the geology behind them, and he draws inspiration from the beauty of rocks and landscapes. He loves rustic and unpredictable wood-fired surfaces. He also really, really loves mud.
