Fascinated by all those satisfying pottery videos online? Join us for a 2 hour wheel throwing experience.
Class Details
During the session, you will learn the basics of wheel throwing, and will create at least one piece that will be professionally trimmed, fired and glazed in your choice of colors ready to be collected within three weeks.
The $75 price is per person and includes two hours of instruction and one finished piece. If you would like to bring your own alcoholic beverage you are welcome to do so with proper ID. Class size is limited to 6 with two instructors, but if you would like to book a private session, please get in touch.
Some of the sessions are limited to a maximum of four people (still two instructors) for more individual attention - these cost $100.
Additional finished pieces are $15.

Jeff Marshall
Jeffrey Marshall is a local potter and ceramic artist from East Aurora, New York who currently resides in the city of Buffalo. He has an eclectic background that includes an apprenticeship with a Roycroft copper artisan and training with a master potter. He is a co-owner of the Buffalo Clayart Center along with Caroline Lesniak.

Caroline Lesniak
Caroline began studying ceramics in London, and joined the Buffalo Clayart Center when she moved back to her hometown of Buffalo in 2022. She likes to experiment with different forms and styles, but especially likes clean, delicate shapes on white or buff stoneware and sculptural elements. She also makes very silly cat dishes. She is a co-owner of the Buffalo Clayart Center along with Jeff Marshall.

Logan Finley
Logan is a wheel-focused potter from Ohio who enjoys throwing generous vase forms. He’s interested in local materials and the geology behind them, and he draws inspiration from the beauty of rocks and landscapes. He loves rustic and unpredictable wood-fired surfaces. He also really, really loves mud.
